If you love sports, you may be one of those people who dreams of playing on a professional sports field. Perhaps you love someone who is a sports freak! In either case you might want to consider splurging on a fantasy sports camp. Fantasy basketball camps, fantasy hockey camps, fantasy baseball camps, fantasy football camps – they are all available today and you too can participate.

The roots of this phenomenon started with a baseball fantasy camp where aspiring pros could play baseball side-by-side with retired pros. For a significant fee, the fantasy sports players arrive at a spring training facility or other field. They get their own uniform and number to match the uniforms worn by the pros during the regular season. In exchange for the fee, they also get a bit of training and the chance to rub elbows with their heroes.

Sports fantasy camps will get you out on the field and force you to exercise. You may pull a muscle here or there but you will have plenty of opportunity to improve your passing game or shoot a puck down the ice and pretend to be a hockey or football superstar.  

Fantasy sports camps offer a great way to live out your fantasy. You will bring back some great memories and photographs and, if you are anything like the other thousands of fantasy sports camp enthusiasts, you will want to come back for more.   

Before you sign your name on the dotted line, you should understand that fantasy sports camps are not cheap. By the time you pay for the airfare, the hotel, the meals and the supplies, uniforms and other expenses hidden in the registration cost, you will pay dearly for your dream. But if you are really a sports fan, you may want to bypass vacation for the year and register for a fantasy sports camp instead.
